JEWELLERY PROTOTYPE FOUR.


The previous file was broken up into separate layers so as to print more accurately and with less support material. 


This was much more successful although in many of the smaller pieces the holes were too close to the edges and therefore did not print in their entirety.  Selecting the most successful of the triangles and applying them to a new and more refined base seems the most appropriate next step at this stage.

JEWELLERY PROTOTYPE THREE.

consists of a series of offset triangles of differing dimensions so as to produce a prism. two cylinders have been subtracted to house the prongs of the previously used curtain hook. 


once printed the completely enclosed subtraction was filled with support material and the large amount of support material on the outside made exterior faces rough and less accurate.

need to design connection between panels and metal.
panels could slot in in some way and become the printed component.
need to have more mass so as to look less of a surface treatment to the metal and become predominant component.
